Sarah Harding ‘moves in with mum’ amid breast cancer battle ‘Been her absolute rock’

Sarah Harding, 38, is undergoing chemotherapy after revealing her breast cancer has spread to other parts of her body. The former Girls Aloud star made the shock announcement in an emotional Twitter post in August.

Sarah has now moved back in with her mum Marie after being diagnosed by doctors, according to reports.

The singer is believed to be “holding up well” as she continues to receive treatment for advanced breast cancer.

Sarah is believed to be staying at her mum’s home in Manchester.

According to a source, the singer’s mum has been “caring for her” as she undergoes chemotherapy.

They said: “Sarah has been supported by her friends and family throughout everything but her mum Marie has been her absolute rock.

“After learning she had cancer Sarah moved back to Marie’s home in Manchester so she could start treatment with her mum caring for her.

“Sarah is undergoing intensive treatment and is holding up well.”

The source added to the Sun: “Being with her mum is the best place for her.” has contacted a representative for Sarah Harding for comment.

The Girls Aloud singer first revealed to fans that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in a candid post on social media.

At the time, the singer posted a statement online with a picture of her in hospital and said: “Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.

“I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and am fighting as hard as I possibly can.”

Sarah also paid tribute to her loved ones and said: “My amazing mum, family and close friends are helping me through this.

“I want to say a thank you to the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.”

Following her announcement there was an outpouring of support from both celebrities and fans.

Her ex-Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley praised Sarah for being “strong” during this difficult time.

“I am completely devastated, it’s been really, really tough, but speaking to her a lot helps and keeping that contact,” she expressed to the same publication.

“She knows we’re there for her every step of the way. She’s a strong girl and I love her so much.”

Sarah rose to fame in Girls Aloud with Cheryl, 37, Kimberley Walsh, 38, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle, both 35.

The group disbanded in 2013 following the conclusion of the Ten Hits Tour.
