- Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, are serving a combined sentence of 19 years after being convicted of a $30 million tax fraud scheme in 2022
- Daughter Savanah claims her parents are living in inhumane conditions
- She added that her parents do not feel any guilt because ‘they are not going to say something that they haven’t done’
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s daughter Savannah has slammed the ‘awful’ and ‘violent’ conditions that she says her parents are being subjected to in jail – claiming that ‘corrupt’ prison guards are punishing them by cutting off air conditioning and locking down ice machines while they suffer in blistering 100-degree heat.
Disgraced reality TV stars Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, were found guilty of a $30million tax fraud scheme in 2022, and sentenced to a combined 19 years in jail.
During their time in prison, the couple’s lawyers have made repeated claims about their ill-treatment behind bars, while slamming officials for denying the couple’s appeal for home confinement last month.
And according to their daughter Savannah, 26, there has been no end to their plight, with the reality star offspring sharing new details about the grim conditions Todd and Julie are currently facing in an exclusive video shared with DailyMail.com.
In the clip, which was filmed at LAX, Savanah said that her parents have complained about being locked up ‘in 100-degree heat’, claiming that they ‘have no air conditioning’ and that ‘the prison is padlocking the ice machines just to retaliate against the inmates’.

Todd is currently serving his 12-year sentence in Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie, 50, is situated at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, for her seven-year sentence.
‘I mean it’s all awful, our federal system is all out of whack and there needs to be reform and change,’ Savannah – who was toting thousands of dollars worth of Louis Vuitton luggage – said.
‘People are living in inhumane conditions, people are dying in these prisons, and they sweep it under the rug.
‘The people who are running the prisons are the corrupt ones so they should be in there themselves.’
When asked what ‘inhumane’ conditions her parents have been subjected to Savannah said: ‘Being in conditions where it’s 100 degrees inside and having no air conditioning, and the prisons padlocking the ice machines just to retaliate against the inmates.’
She added: ‘I know for a fact [this has happened] where dad is. Where mom is, they just don’t… it’s bad.’
Television personality Savannah revealed that she speaks to both her mom and dad ‘multiple times a day’, and revealed that they are living in open bays and they aren’t locked in cells.
But while she is able to maintain contact with the shamed pair, Savannah said that her parents’ communication with each other has been limited entirely to email because they believe prison officials are withholding and ‘tampering’ with their mail.
‘They’re emailing a little bit. What’s unfortunate is you have people in these prisons who are holding their mail. And that’s mail fraud. So they are tampering with federal mail,’ she said.
When quizzed on whether her parents feel at all guilty about their actions, Savannah said they’re maintaining their innocence.

On July 16, the federal government rejected Todd and Julie’s appeal for home confinement
‘Definitely no guilt for actions because they were offered a plea deal and they turned it down, because they are not going to say something they haven’t done,’ she said, while also warning that there will be ‘a lot of legal action’.
According to the star, Todd and Julie spend a lot of time reading and writing – and she said that they are both focused on using their own plight in order to raise awareness about the struggles of other inmates.
‘There are a lot of people in the system who get lost and people don’t care to hear their stories,’ Savannah said, before hinting that Todd and Julie are planning to pen a tell-all book about their experiences.
‘They may be working on books, they may, who knows… but they are definitely documenting every little thing that goes on,’ she shared.
Savannah further claimed that prison guards have repeatedly punished her parents for sharing stories about their grim experiences behind bars – but insisted that they will not stop speaking out ‘for the greater good.
‘There’s already retaliation happening because of how I’m exposing things,’ she claimed. ‘[But] if it means we make a change for the greater good, then they’re willing to be uncomfortable.
In August, a family insider told DailyMail.com that the pair were ‘feeling completely hopeless about their situation’ and are terrified at the idea of losing their latest appeal because it will ‘mean at least another year of living in their hell hole’ jails.
It came after the couple’s lawyer Jay Surgent claimed Julie was menaced by a poisonous snake while her husband claimed a fellow inmate tried to sneak a photo of him while he was sleeping.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News Digital, he said: ‘The living conditions are horrible, and it was reported to me that there was a poisonous snake that was got into Julie’s cell area that had to be embolized and taken out.’

In August, the pair were said to be ‘at the lowest point they have been yet’ after their recent appeal for home confinement was rejected.
Surgent continued: ‘As of this day she is sitting in 100 degree temperature with no air conditioning, and no one seems to care.
‘Todd Chrisley was singled out in reference to the non-processing of his Cares Act application.
‘Someone was allowed to take a photo of him while he was sleeping, and this is a result of his celebrity status.
‘Todd has no air conditioning, plumbing conditions are bad, there is mold and fungus everywhere, and again no one seems to care.’
A source close to Julie also revealed that she had been ‘broken down’ by her brief time behind bars – and now bitterly ‘regrets’ the extreme lengths she went to for fame and money, blaming herself for allowing her husband Todd to ‘push her into’ a tax fraud scheme that ultimately saw them both sentenced to lengthy stints in prison.
‘She is not doing well at all,’ an insider said. ‘She cannot fathom how she will spend years being locked up and feels that she let her family down.’
They added that Julie was now telling friends that she is furious with herself for allowing her husband convince her that they would ‘never go to jail’ for the scheme.
‘Todd assured her that they would not go to jail and now Julie regrets what she did in the name of fame,’ they continued, adding that the ex-reality matriarch is losing all hope that the pair will manage to pull off a successful appeal.
Meanwhile, Savannah has been left to care for her brother and her niece while her parents are behind bars, a role that she described as being the ‘hardest, most rewarding job’.
‘The kids are my number one focus. Being a bonus parent is the hardest, most rewarding job you’ll ever have,’ she said.
‘Everything got stripped away and I just had to build myself back. And I’m building it back better than ever.’
