Reality star Scarlett Moffatt has shared an adorable video update of her six month old son Jude as she asked her fans and followers for "any advice & tips on weaning".

The proud mum shared a video of her smiley baby using a spoon and eating some sweet potato. She captioned the post: "Well Jude’s nearly six months old so we decided to start the weaning experience off with sweet potato. (Next time we are going for puréed peas) was hoping for a lot more mess but turns out Jude just wanted to use a spoon.

"Any advice & tips on weaning I’d be forever grateful"

Fans were quick to give their advice and tips as one said: "Baby led weaning worked fab for my little girl she just wanted to try everything and let them touch and feel all the food. It's super messy but so worth it in the end shes got lovely table manners now as a 3 year old xx", while another added: "Give him a spoon to or a piece of the veg/ fruit you are feeding him".

A third penned: "People will have SO many opinions on this but just go for it! I did baby led weaning with both of my boys, just giving them finger foods to help themselves to. They recommend to stick to veg initially for a few weeks before introducing fruit. Good luck mama! Xx".

The former Gogglebox star gave birth to her son in June after announcing her pregnancy in February. She shared the happy news on Instagram, where she said she couldn't "stop crying".

She penned: "Jude Xavier Dobinson. My darling boy I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine. You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks. Me & your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy."

The star went on to thank her partner Scott and the midwives Helen and Charlotte, as she gushed over all the NHS team at Durham Hospital.

Since giving birth, Scarlett has been keeping her followers updated as she navigates life as a new mum. Just last month she announced her engagement to boyfriend Scott Dobinson, saying she's "truly on cloud nine" after the romantic proposal.
