Stacey Solomon’s fans defend her against trolls who criticise her Christmas card pic

Stacey Solomon has faced mum-shaming since she shared her Christmas card photo with her 5.4 million Instagram followers.

In the beautiful pic, she poses with her children Rex and Rose and the family's two dogs Peanut and Teddy. But some who saw the snap were quick to notice a few absences from the group.

Stacey's husband Joe Swash is not present in the photo, and neither are any of the children they have from previous relationships.

Mum-of-four Stacey shares Rex, three, and Rose, one, with husband Joe, and has two elder sons from previous relationships; Leighton, 10, who she shares with ex-boyfriend, Aaron Barnham, and Zach, 14, whose father is Dean Cox.

Joe shares his oldest child Harry, 13, with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous.

Some used these absences as an excuse to troll and mum-shame the Loose Women panellist, who quickly has a number of fans leap to her defence.

One commenter asked: "Why leave the other boys out? . Should have done it earlier" to which another told them to "bore off."

And another joked: "I cannot believe you left your favourite child out of the photos" in reference to Stacey's comment that her eldest son Zach is her favourite child.

Jumping to the TV star's defence, on fan argued: "Right calm it with the scrutiny. Stacey like the rest of us can photograph who she wants when she wants and isn't answerable to anyone.

"Not everyone is present at one time….even so. She doesn't need to justify her photos to anyone. Nor are you so why would you question her?"

Others pointed out that Stacey's caption does explain why some of the family members are absent from the Christmas card.

Explaining the story behind the photo choice, Stacey wrote: "The cheesy Annual Christmas Card Picture. I didn’t manage to get everyone in this year (there’s too many of us to manage)

"But tbh this year it was nice to make it all about Peanut & Teddy. We lost our beautiful Theo last Boxing Day, we are so lucky to have Peanut, and to have been lucky enough to rescue & welcome Teddy to our family.

"Dogs are just so special. We miss you Theo. We love you Teddy & Peanut. Thank you for being the best dogs in the whole wide world, And the best friends Rex, Rose, Leighton, Zach & Harry could wish for… To the moon and back boys."
