Fans took to the comment section to gush of her new look with some saying they didn’t recognise her at first.

One wrote: ‘I didn’t recognise you. You look like a different person’, while another added: ‘Better than blond!!’

A third chimed: ‘Absolutely stunning’. Another follower said: ‘Brunette really make those eyes pop’.

A different fan said: ‘Looks amazing but prefer the blonde.’

Helen has dyed her hair as she is moving from screen to stage with her new role as Anna in The King and I theatre tour.

While she managed to overcome her nerves she still has one problem on the stage, her 40lbs princess gown that is so uncomfortable it’s caused her injury.

Speaking on This Morning, Helen revealed the costume and the fitted corsets were giving her ‘internal damage’ and admitted she has no feeling in her hips anymore.

Discussing the new role, Dermot asked: ‘When you go back into theatre, as an actor, how scary is it?’

Helen admitted: Utterly terrifying!’ It is, but we film for six months a year and apart from during Covid, I’ve always tried to do some sort of theatre in between.

‘Because it really sort of gets you back and reignites you and I think it sharpens you.’
