Strictly’s Layton and Nikita spark concern with tearful ‘personal life’ remark

After their Charleston performance on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing, Layton Williams and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin sparked concern after they both broke down in tears while speaking to host Claudia Winkleman.

When asked why Layton, 29, deserved to lift the glitterball trophy, Nikita, 25, became overcome with emotion as he struggled to get his words out of his mouth. He said: “I know he makes it seem easy, but you are the most hardworking person I’ve been in a room with.

“You try to bring joy to everyone, no matter what happens outside, no matter what happens with your personal life, I’m not going to go into that,” he remarked.

“You always bring joy,” Nikita continued before breaking into tears after seeing Layton crying in front of him. “You make me shine with how much you shine,” the professional expressed.

“You are my best friend. This is so special, I’d love to have my first final with you,” he said before the close pals embraced in a hug, with the rest of the professional clapping for the two.

The pair received a perfect score of 40 after all four judges gave them 10 points each.
