Tom Parker’s heartbreaking final photo with ‘dream team’ The Wanted bandmates

Tom Parker has passed away from a brain tumour aged 33, leaving behind his wife Kelsey, 32, and their two children: Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one.

Before his heartbreaking death the star had shared a tribute to his bandmates, calling them the "dream team," followed by a heart emoji.

The late star posed on a chair inbetween his The Wanted bandmates and wore a grin and he was pictured looking happy.

Max George commented a string of heart emojis beneath the photo at the time.

The photo came after Tom surprised The Wanted fans by joining his bandmates on stage amid his cancer battle.

And fans at the concert couldn't contain their excitement as they realised Tom was back in the UK following a month's worth of treatment at the specialist clinic abroad.

"Give it up for Tom Parker!" Nathan Sykes told the crowd as Tom, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020, emerged.

As the crowd went wild for Tom, Nathan continued: "As you guys can probably tell, there is a massive space in this band tonight. And we love Tom as much as you do.

"In fact, we'll be big-headed and say that we love him slightly more, which is a lot. We can't wait to have him back, which will be very soon. He sees all your messages and everything," he added.

Tom's wife Kelsey took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the news of his death.

She wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."

Discussing the heartbreaking news with us at the time, Kelsey said: "It still doesn’t feel real. I don’t think Tom will ever process this information. It’s horrendous. Watching your partner go through this is so hard, because how can I tell him to not let it consume him?

"I take his phone away from him, because otherwise he will sit there and Google things and then end up in a hole. The more you Google, the worse possible stuff it throws at you, and that’s not good for anyone."

Tom added: "I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you."
