We are getting more info about new Minions attraction coming to Universal Studios Orlando!

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast was first announced back in December, and it will be a part of the new Minion Land that is opening this summer.

While we know that the attraction will be an interactive, blaster game experience, we’re getting more info on what to expect.

Villain-Con Minion Blast is Located at the entrance to Minion Land, and it “blends immersive sets, interactive game-based technology, custom animation and an original storyline to create a one-of-a-kind blaster attraction where guests can put their villainous skills to the ultimate test.”

Once you enter the attraction, you’ll be transported to Villain-Con, where guests are challenged to see who has what it takes to become the newest member of the Vicious 6, a supervillain group from The Rise of Gru, consisting of members Belle Bottom (voiced by Taraji P. Henson), Stronghold (voiced by Danny Trejo), Nun-Chuck (voiced by Lucy Lawless), Jean Clawed (voiced by Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Svengeance (voiced by Dolph Lundgren), who will all be featured in the attraction.

As you make your way through the convention, you’ll travel through the trade show floor, which will be stocked with the latest gadgets, vehicles, and fashion to pull off the most heinous schemes. You’ll then pick up an “E-Liminator X” blaster to compete against your friends, family and fellow guests to prove how bad you actually can be.

Throughout the attraction, you’ll use the blaster, which is equipped with Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks and more, to try and cause as much mayhem and destruction as possible to earn points. As you wind and glide throughout aboard a moving pathway, you’ll encounter each member of the Vicious 6 in a setting inspired by their character.

The new attraction is also set to be the first Universal Orlando attraction to feature a connected gameplay experience through The Official Universal Orlando Resort App.

Through syncing your app with a tap, you can track your scores, go on special missions in the attraction and unlock evil perks and extra blasts to help gain more points and earn digital collectibles. The more you play, the higher you can score, plus, it connects to your guets account and will enhance your in park experience, and sets it up for more digital-to-real world benefits!
