Vanessa Feltz has shared a video to her Instagram calling for help as she got ready for tonight's Pride of Britain Awards.
In the clip, she explains that she couldn’t get her ballgown on properly as it has a laced back and she was alone so was struggling to do it, branding it the “perils of being single.”
“One of the most difficult things about being single is getting yourself into a ballgown which has a corset back, which involves lacing and all that, when you’re on your own.”
Fans will recall that she split from her fiancé and partner of 16 years, Ben Ofoedu, after she claimed that he was unfaithful during their relationship.
"I can’t lace myself up the back by myself. What am I going to do? I’m on my way to the Pride of Britain, well, I’m not on my way because I can’t actually leave the house because I’m all unlaced at the back.”
She then joked: “Can I stop and call a total stranger passing in the street and say can you please lace me up? Or is that a bit too intimate?”
She ended her video by saying: “Not sure what to do, the perils of being single.”
In the caption, she begged fellow presenter and friend Carol Vordermon for help.
“Whoops! I’m single. Who is going to lace up my corset-backed ballgown for @prideofbritain #ballgown #lacing #fashion #prideofbritain @carolvorders HELP!!”
Vanessa’s ex has defended himself despite saying the rumours of cheating were true in a statement on Instagram when they split last Christmas.
The 51 year old toldMailOnlinethat he didn’t believe Vanessa wanted to marry him.
"There were two people involved, this was my life as well. Marriage means a lot to me, and I wanted to be married and she didn't want that, so we were going in different directions."
Bwn continued: "She had no intention of marrying me. For me it was important and for her it wasn't, I wish at the very beginning she had said that, but she didn't."
Vanessa’s daughter was reportedly told of his infidelity by his lover on Christmas Day.
Vanessa later said: "It’s now clear that it’s over and I feel that you know once the trust is gone you can’t really get that back.
"I’m pretty disappointed and shocked about those horrible things but also full of resolve because I’m not going to let this defeat me."
