‘BECKHAM’ documentary series: official trailer
Victoria and David Beckham have said that it was a “difficult decision” to film their new Netflix documentary, as it lays bare some of their difficult moments in their journey.
The pair, who married in 1999, are one of the most famous couples in the world and have now lifted the lid on their private family life.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, a source told them that Victoria found filming the series “stressful” as it brought back old memories.
“It was a difficult decision for Victoria and David about whether to go ahead with the documentary or not. But for Victoria, it was a sort of therapy,” they said.
“It was important for her to share her story, it wasn’t about showing people how strong they were, but showing her human side.”

“I mean, you can’t even explain how that feels, because we couldn’t hide.
“These are things that, now it’s coming back to me, I realise why I found it stressful doing these interviews because I’ve blocked so much of it out, and I think David has too.
“But now it’s coming back to me. Imagine having a baby and having death threats.”
The series will also see a host of famous faces talk candidly about the Beckhams.
Those who are due to appear in the documentary include David’s former manager Alex Ferguson, former teammate Gary Neville, his parents and of course, his wife Victoria.
David shared on his Instagram a preview of the documentary: “I’m excited to confirm that I am partnering with @Netflix on a documentary series about my life and career.”
He added: “The series will feature unseen archives, untold stories as well as interviews with the people who have been a part of my journey. The series is directed and produced by Academy Award winners @fisherstevens and John Battsek. Watch this space…”
Beckham lands on Netflix on October 4th.
