Westlife's Nicky Byrne has given fans an update after an accident on stage left him "battered and bruised."
Today the singer shared a shocking video of him falling off stage during a gig in Glasgow on Saturday evening and also posted a photo of his torso showing a nasty burn on his right side as a result of the incident.
With a written statement, the 44 year old said on Instagram: "Thank you for your well wishes! So last night I did have a little accident on stage in Glasgow, where I didn't realise the mechanical stairs had opened behind me.
"A crazy moment which could have been a lot worse but I'm completely fine, a little bit battered and bruised but ok! I'll see y'all back up there tonight. The show must go on. Thanks for all your well wishes."
In a reference to the band's famous song, he then said: "#ReallyFlyingWithoutWings" He also praised the "wonderful medics" at the arena who treated him.
Fans in their droves took to the star's social media to send their support to Nicky.
"Oh god you got us all worried there, hope you're not too sore," one user said.
While another commented: "I'm glad you are okay Nicky."
A third fan said: "Get well soon Nicky, looking forward to seeing you in Liverpool."
Nicky and his bandmates Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan have been on their Wild Dreams tour this year, travelling the globe, performing their latest album and greatest hits.
The band, whose famous songs include World of our Own and Uptown Girl, have recently kicked off the UK leg of their tour after finishing their stint performing in Asia.
"So excited to be back on tour," the band said on their Instagram page earlier this week.
"The Wild Dreams UK and Ireland arena run kicks off tonight in Aberdeen!! Who's ready??"
Fans have been delighted to have the hitmakers take to their local arenas after a three-year hiatus.
"You were absolutely amazing last night," one fan said.
"Been coming to your shows since I was 2 years old.. I am now 24 and you get better and better every time."
Another fan who had attended a gig, said: "My favourite band of all time. Was so happy meeting you guys last night."
