A fourth Descendants movie is in the works and we have all the details!

The upcoming new movie, Descendants: The Rise of Red, will be set in the world of Auradon as the original trilogy, but will feature an almost entirely new cast of characters.

Previously titled The Pocketwatch, the music and dance-filled movie finds polar opposites Red and Chloe crossing paths at a momentous celebration in Auradon when unexpected chaos breaks out. In order to prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time, via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.

Filming for the musical took place in Vancouver earlier this year, and features many familiar faces from the Disney family, and even sees a couple of stars reprising their roles from over 15 years ago.

Jennifer Phang is directing and co-executive producing, with a script by Dan Frey and Russell Sommer. Production designer on all three OG movies, Mark Hofeling, returns to the franchise, with Suzanne Todd and former Disney Channel President Gary Marsh executive producing.

While we don’t have a release date, yet, we do know who will all be starring in the film and we have the cast list and who they will be portraying right here!
