Why Does Kelly Clarkson Hide and Cry in the Bathroom Sometimes?

Kelly Clarkson had instantly won the hearts of millions of Americans when she became the first-ever winner of American Idol. Since then, Clarkson has gone on to tour all over the world and play in sold-out arenas. She has also had 15 Grammy nominations and three wins and has made her way to the top of the Billboard Music Charts over 100 times.

Clarkson has also just started coaching on her fourth season of NBC’s hit singing competition show, The Voice.

When Clarkson is busy touring the world and singing her award-winning songs or coaching an up-and-coming singer, she is busy with another one of her favorite jobs, which is being a mother. Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, have two young children together: their daughter, River Rose, is 5 years old, and their son, Remington Alexander is 3 years old. The Since U Been Gone singer also has a stepdaughter and a stepson that are teenagers.

So, how does Clarkson manage a full-time successful career while also trying to raise four kids? Like any mother, she has a lot of up and down moments, but she has recently opened up about how she deals with the emotional rollercoaster that life sometimes puts her on.

Kelly Clarkson’s busy work schedule

To say that Clarkson has a hectic work schedule would be an understatement. The former American Idol winner kicked off this year with her Meaning of Life Tour that took place from January until March. After that, she had performed two songs at the ACM Awards and also hosted the Billboard Music Awards in May of this year.

Not only does she have a busy music career, but her TV career is also starting to really heat up. Clarkson has already begun filming the upcoming season The Voice. She is also about to have her own daytime talk show as well. Clarkson’s new show, which is simply titled The Kelly Clarkson Show, will premiere on September 9.

The new talk show host had recently shared the trailer of her new show on Instagram and so far, the show looks like it is going to be a hit. Clarkson’s bubbly and funny personality is able to shine bright as she interacts with her audience and talks to her celebrity guests.

How does Clarkson juggle her career and her home life?

When it comes to her family, Clarkson had recently told People that her kids will always come first. “When we were doing the schedule for the show, I was like, ‘I have to drop my kids off at school.’ And I’m always the one who puts them to bed,” Clarkson had said.

The mother of four also said that having a busy work schedule does not mean that you can’t be a hands-on mom. “You just have to prioritize and juggle and make people know it’s an important thing, and don’t feel guilty about it,” she continued.

Does Kelly Clarkson ever get overwhelmed?

Clarkson may be an international superstar, but she is still just like the rest of us. She admitted that she is far from being a perfect wife or mom, but she is trying very hard to make sure that her family stays happy while her career is thriving. Trying to juggle both of those things can be overwhelming, but Clarkson seems to make it all work.

“Some days, I totally hide in a bathroom and I’m crying, going, ‘Oh my God, this is a lot.’ Everybody does,” Clarkson told people, “Every parent does, especially when you’re like, “Am I screwing up my children? Or nailing it? I have no idea. I’m sure a little of both.”

Clarkson may not be a perfect mom. But the fact that she always puts her kids first and obviously cares deeply about their well-being and their happiness, proves that she is a pretty great mom.
