‘Willow’ Reboot Series Canceled After Only 1 Season on Disney+

Willow will not be moving forward with a second season.

The Disney+ series rebooted the 1988 film, with Warwick Davis reprising his titular role.

On Wednesday (March 15), it was revealed that the streaming platform has decided to cancel the fantasy series, according to Deadline.

Willow followed Warwick‘s character leading an unlikely crew of heroes on a quest to protect Andowyne from an even larger foe than they had imagined possible.

It premiered at the end of November, with the final episode releasing just a couple months ago.

The series also starred Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori, Amar Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk and Joanne Whalley.

Willow now joins a small, but growing, list of Disney+ original series that have been canceled. See what else was recently canceled.

This news comes as production company Lucasfilm has reportedly been reassessing it’s slate, including what’s to come next for the Star Wars franchise on the big screen.
