Princess Beatrice and Sarah Ferguson last night attended the Lady Garden Gala at Claridge’s Hotel, London, with a slew of other special guests. The two women donned their best clothes for the occasion.
Princess Beatrice donned a black dress with large beige and white flowers. The piece was from one of Beatrice’s favourite labels, The Vampire’s Wife.
The dress is currently sold out but it was on sale on fashion website Browns Fashion. The website described the dress, saying: “This black The Vampire’s Wife Cate floral jacquard ruffle midi dress features a round neck, three-quarter length sleeves, a silk lining, a rear zip fastening and back waist belt.
“‘She’s got some ethereal grace and elegance that’s beyond me. She’s otherworldly,’ Brad Pitt once said of Cate Blanchett. We obviously agree – and this The Vampire’s Wife dress is the sartorial equivalent.”
Although Beatrice is a fan of floral dresses, she has not been seen in this particular dress before.

The royal combined the floral number with a pair of black heels from Reiss.
Called the ‘Lupin’ Laser Cut Court Shoes, the heels were a unique pair that Beatrice has worn a number of times in the past.
Beatrice didn’t seem to be wearing any jewellery, and her red hair was down in a relaxed, natural style over her shoulders.
Royal fans were quick to comment on Beatrice’s look, with many praising the Princess. Instagram user @j_asmiin said: “She has definitely found her style.”
User @mydocuments_ wrote: “Bea looks lovely and those shoes are phenom. I love how happy she seems with Edo.”
User @luxmeagainpreloved said: “These dresses suit Bea very well. Great style for her and she clearly likes them. The shoes are fabulous.”
User @birdnerd327 commented: “I’m generally not a fan of this brand but if you removed all the ruffles this would be great! Having said that I think Beatrice looks lovely.”
Alejandra Campos said: “She looked great!” Fernanda Torres added: “Absolutely gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson wore one of her favourite styles for the gala: a military jacket.
The Duchess donned the Renata Military Blazer in Red/Black by the Extreme Collection. This is a garment she has worn many times in the past, and she has many similar jackets to it.
The blazer is a tight fit and has a high, black collar and gold buttons. Sarah paired it with a long black skirt and an eye-catching clutch bag.
The bag is the DG Embellished Clutch in Black by Dolce and Gabbana. Its body was black but it featured huge ‘DG’ letters in gold, decorated with glistening emeralds.
Royal fans liked Sarah’s look too. Instagram user and royal watcher @luxmeagainpreloved said: “This is a great look on Sarah. As I said when she wore it recently it’s perfect for the season. Love it with the long skirt. Then no complaints about footwear.”
User @stage_left_ commented: “I like the longer skirt on her, especially with this jacket.”
User @goosegirlenfys wrote: “Back to her tried and true favourite style! And in Nutcracker season too. It’s maybe not a popular opinion, but I like red on redheads, and the maxi skirt is a nice change from the shorter ones.”
User @kayanna1357 added: “I’ve always loved jackets like this.”
