Camilla made a visit to Paddington Haven, a sexual assault referral centre in west London today wearing a striking tartan number. The Duchess of Cornwall was in west London visiting the centre as the community kitchen was designed to combat social isolation and loneliness. Camilla was wearing a purple, green and blue tartan striped blazer with a matching maxi skirt.
The blazer was buttoned all the way down the front of the piece.
The colours were very striking which made the Duchess stand out from the crowd.
Underneath, Camilla appeared to be wearing a white blouse with decorative frills on the cuffs and the collar.
This outfit was accompanied by Camilla’s favourite black suede knee-high boots.
For jewellery, the Duchess could be seen wearing several gold bracelets to add some sparkle to her outfit.
Her hair was voluminous and the royal wore minimal makeup.
A royal fan @sarah30twig took to Twitter saying: “I think she is wonderful.”
Another fan, @CarrolMcdonald6 added: “Brilliant! She looks like she’s really enjoying herself!”
One Instagram user @ladysandy42020 commented saying: “Clashing prints! Bold statement for the Duchess.”
Camilla previously wore the purple and emerald green tartan print in 2020 when she was on a royal engagement in Sutton.
The Duchess has worn tartan on many occasions recently.
She wore a green tartan outfit whilst visiting a primary school in Bath on Tuesday, February 8.
She also wore a turquoise tartan outfit on Christmas Day whilst attending church in Windsor.
Whilst on the royal engagement today, Camilla responded to a member of the public who asked about her future role within the Firm.
Camilla said she feels “very honoured” and “very touched” by the Queen’s message backing her as future Queen Consort.
It marks the first time Camilla has spoken publicly about the Queen’s wish for her to be known as Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King in future.
On the eve of her Platinum Jubilee on Saturday, the Queen released a deeply personal statement, expressing her wishes for the monarchy in future.
Meanwhile, Camilla’s engagements in London today come on the same day her husband Charles has tested positive for coronavirus for a second time and is self-isolating.
However, Clarence House confirmed that Camilla had tested negative this morning.
A spokesperson said: “The Duchess of Cornwall has routinely tested negative today.
“She is on a separate series of engagements from the Prince of Wales.”
