CHRISTMAS Jumpers aren't the most fashionable items of clothing – but Christmas Jumper Day 2019 is for a great cause.
Here's everything you need to know about the date and how to get involved.
When is Christmas Jumper Day?
This year's Christmas Jumper Day falls on Friday, December 13 – that's TODAY!
The annual fundraiser is organised by Save the Children, and is a campaign in which people are encouraged to wear their best Christmas jumper.
Christmas Jumper Day was launched in 2012, and always falls on a Friday a week or two before Christmas Day.
The charity is expecting over 5 million people across the UK to take part in the biggest Christmas Jumper Day ever.
How to donate
The first thing to do to get involved is to sign up here and get your free fundraising pack.
Spreading the word about the fundraiser is always a good idea, so make sure you tell your family, friends and colleagues about it.
The minimum donation is only £2 (or £1 if you’re at school), and you'll be helping to "make the world the best place on Earth for children."
To pay in your money raised, head to the paying in link, which will be live on the Save the Children website nearer the time.
What can I wear?
No one needs to buy a new jumper says the organisation.
It's all to raise funds for Save the Children, and you can wear a Christmas jumper you already own, decorate an existing jumper with festive decorations, or even knit yourself a new one.
Many celebrities take part in the annual campaign every year.
Sharing pictures of your festive knitwear is also a good way to spread the word!
Who can join in?
Christmas Jumper Day is for everyone.
Your school may even join in – so make sure you get the date in your diary.
And kids only need to donate £1.
You can run an event at your work – or even just with family and friends.
If it's just you, then don't let that stop you.
Put on that Christmas Jumper and don't forget to donate.
