FOUR fashion fans decided to step out in near identical jumpers to see if members of the public could work out which of the style items was the most expensive.
The simple black and white striped sweaters ranged in price from a bargain £22 high street buy to an eye watering £420 made famous by a designer brand.
“We are all wearing striped jumpers that range from £22 to £420,” one of the women modelling the monochrome look explained.
“We’re asking the public to put us in order from the cheapest to the most expensive.”
The fashionistas – called Lottie, Ruby, Hannah and Krissy – then put themselves into a random order and stood in a line ready to get the fashion experiment underway.
The footage, posted on a fashion brand’s TikTok account called @eliza, then cuts to strangers approaching the foursome and attempting to guess correctly.

Many of the guessers asked to feel the garments, hoping it would give them a big clue.
But it seems that it wasn’t the helpful hint they were after, as several groups totally failed to pin point the price.
After putting all four women in order, it was revealed that they’d placed them in the wrong spots – with many revealing they had to “give up” as they couldn’t get it right.
Some managed to get fifty per cent when they placed two of the women in the correct position.

But, eventually, after several rounds of trying, one woman nailed it in one take.
Her secret? She looked at the “style of the sleeve” to give her an indication of the quality of the similar looking jumpers, which she said “all looked nice.”
And her trick worked, when she ranked them from least expensive to most expensive and got it right across the board.
So which of the jumpers broke the bank – and which was a great dupe?
The cheapest design was from H&M, modelled by Ruby. It featured thicker black stripes all the way from the neck to the lower end of the jumper.
Up next, Lottie wore a Bershka jumper, which had slightly thinner stripes running across the middle and came in at £29.99.
The second most expensive jumper – this time with a roll neck – was worn by Krissy. It was from Albaray and would set you back £85.
While Hannah stepped forward to show she was wearing the most VIP option of the lot – a Toteme design for a whopping £420.
And many people were majorly impressed with the selection, as they highlighted the Albaray purchase as one of their favourites and said they thought it was the most expensive one.
