Girl reveals how to double your annual leave in 2022 to give yourself 54 days holiday with savvy planning

FANCY taking off double your annual leave allowance next year for an extra long break? Here's how to do it.

A girl has revealed exactly how to get the most out of your standard holiday allowance for the working year and all it requires is some savvy planning on your part.

So, if you were hoping to lock in that trip to the Bahamas and didn't want to burn a hole in your holiday dates, then look no further.

TikTok user @ruthkudzai has outlined exactly what dates you need to lock in as holiday to bag an extra few days free while doing so.

She shared her annual leave hack for 2022 with her followers in a video, where she revealed how to double your holiday allowance and win yourself 54 days off at no extra cost.

"This is the perfect time to start thinking about your annual leave for 2022, I'm gonna show you how to make the most of 22 days of annual leave to turn them into 54 days off," she explains.

"This is making the most of weekends, bank holidays and your annual leave days, so how you gonna do it?"

So, how exactly do you do it?

Ruth advises taking four days off between 4-7 January to give yourself a "continuous nine day break off".

Take off another four days between 19-22 April and 3-6 May and you'll wind up with 10 days off in a row both times.

Making full use of the May bank holiday, securing 31 May – 1 June off will give you a nine-day break in total, as will taking off 30 August – 2 September.

And, of course, there's the all-important dates to ensure your Out of Office is on for as long as possible during the festival seasons.

Book off 28-30 December and you'll find yourself with a much-needed 10 day break at Christmas.

Her post racked up over half-a-million views on TikTok, along with hundreds of comments, with people calling Ruth a "legend" while insisting the hack was "so helpful".

Others were keen to get her advice on their own personal holiday allowances, with one person commenting: "I only get 10 days holidays after my bank holidays and week in Christmas… what should I take."

Some, however, were quick to point out that methodically taking off the dates suggested wouldn't work for everyone.

"This doesn't work when you work any day of the year," vented one viewer.

Another posted: "Got excited then I remembered I work in retail and have to work weekends and bank holidays."

A third joked: "I requested all these days, got rejected for all of them."
