A WOMAN has shared how she renovated an old 100 house she inherited and turned it into her new home.
After finding out the old house was home to squatters and tarantulas Steph never wanted to look back but through hard work she turned her inheritance into a proper family home.
Steph said she had originally wanted to knock the old house down.
She said in a TikTok video online: “I inherited a 100 year old house! I wanted to demolish it and instead remodelled it.”
But the option proved to be out of the question because of Steph’s finances.
She said: “My thoughts were to tear down the house and take out a 30 year loan and build a beautiful brick home but my credit sucks!”

After deciding to tackle the massive project Steph realised that house would need a lot of work because it was in really bad shape.
She said: “The house was abandoned for almost 20 years! It was full of trash and drug paraphernalia. People used to squat in here.”
With so much wrong with the house, she struggled to see how she could transform it.
She said: “I didn’t see any potential in this house!”

But Steph dug down deal and decided to face her fears.
“It took forever to clean and rear down the sheet rock! Omg I was terrified of spiders and even found tarantulas in here.”

Steph spent two years renovating the house putting in every penny she had to fixing it.
She said: “For almost two years I put every pay check into fixing this house … but it all paid off.”
The new homeowner showed her followers before and after of her home and it looks completely different.”
She said: “Still need a new roof but I’m ballin 'on a budget. Still needs a lot of work."
“This is my home!”
People were stunned by Steph’s home transformation saying the change was night and day.
One user said: “That is amazing!! I’m so happy for you!! Hard work pays off.”
