“I started a cleaning business. At the time, I was super broke. I was a stay at home mum of one child and I was already expecting my second child on the way.
“I knew that the most successful people out there didn't just wake up successful – it was a process for them to get there.
“I said ‘I have no money and a cleaning business is the cheapest route’.
“I know nothing about starting a cleaning business, but I did know somebody that was doing a cleaning business and she was making $1000 [£785] per Airbnb that she was cleaning.
“In my very first week of starting my cleaning business, I was able to bring home $3000 [£2,356] and mind you, my husband was only making $500 [£392] a week, so this to us was mind blowing.
“In the beginning, my husband was really unsupportive of me starting my cleaning business, but then once he saw the money that we brought in, he quit his 9 to 5 and he decided to join me.
“We then were able to focus on growing the business together and we started to make six figures a month.
“Mind you, I bailed so many times, I lost so many six figure cleaning contracts and I embarrassed myself so many times and there was just so much that I didn't know.”
Not only does her cleaning business clean Airbnbs, but now she has got her own Airbnb business too.
She continued: “And because of my cleaning business, I was able to start other businesses. I started cleaning Airbnbs and then I got interested in the business of Airbnb.
“I knew that I needed money, to be able to start an Airbnb business and so with my cleaning business, I was able to fund all of my other businesses.”
Jen then advised: “Starting a business is not for the weak. But I can tell you that if you have that drive to become an entrepreneur, to work for yourself, do it.
“I am a living testimony of what it is to literally be a stay at home mum, dependent on your husband's income and make a difference for your family. I promise you.
“I went from living check to Monday – that means when you get paid on Friday and you're already broke by Monday – to being able to afford a nanny to now watch my kids so that I can focus a few hours of my day in growing my business.
“To being able to go to any store and afford whatever I want.
“I no longer have to look at prices or say, ‘oh my gosh, I can't, I have to save money’ because I already have a huge savings build thanks to my business.”
Social media users were left stunned at Jen’s TikTok clip, which was shared under the username @tropicalcleaningacademy, and were eager to congratulate her in the comments.
One person said: “Thanks for sharing…. You're amazing….”
Another added: “That’s amazing, good for you girl! Glad your hubby hopped on board.”
