A MUM-TO-BE picked out the ideal religious name for her fourth baby, but people weren't impressed.
Others suggested the unusual moniker made it sound like the baby would be "begging for mercy".
She explained that she loved the name "Clemency" for her soon-to-be-born baby girl.
Taking to Mumsnet, she said: "Thoughts on Clemency as a sister to Jemima, Tabitha and Reuben?
"Would probably use nickname Cece rather than Clem/mie, but like both!"
But fellow Mumsnet users weren't impressed with the unique moniker for the mum's fourth baby.

One said: "Sorry makes me think of people on death row who are granted clemency! What about Clementine?"
Another said: "Clementine would be better due to the association with 'granting mercy'.."

A third said: "I really don't like Mercy or Clemency as I keep thinking of people pleading for their lives. Can't you find something else. Clementine?"
While another said: "It sounds ridiculous as a name in the Clemency form to me.

"Clemènce is more of a natural name as well as Clementine."
But the mum explained that she really liked the meaning of the name and wasn't a fan of Clementine as an alternative.
She said: "I like Clemency because of the religious aspect, I think Clementine loses that?
"And Clementine has also got very popular in my hometown lately. I know three under three which isn't loads, but also always seeing it on name boards and considering how rare it was before makes me worry it might date badly."
But not everyone hated the unique baby name as some expressed how much they liked it.
She said: "I really like Clemency. Beautiful name."

Another said: "Clemency is lovely, I adore virtue names. Patience is nice too, and I know a beautiful little girl named Confidence."
While a third said: "I think Clementine is awful. It is a fruit. I quite like Clemency."
