A DOG owner was baffled when her dog came back from the groomer looking like a completely different beast.
Brianna McCartan said her pooch looked like the dragon from The NeverEnding Story after his trim.

In the video Brianna compares Sandy to a dragon named Falcor which appeared in a fantasy adventure from the 1980s.
She said "Its giving Falcor from Neverending Story."
Brianna's video, shared on TikTok, sparked a debate about dog grooming techniques.

Tayahughesx said: "She might have been knotty that’s the only time a groomer should shave a dog down short unless that’s what the owner wants."
Brianna responded by saying: "No don’t get me wrong she was a bit matted but not very bad we brushed her twice a day so don’t know why she would have shaved her that much."
Ellie posted: "Groomer here. If your dog comes back from the groomers shorter than you wanted she was very likely matted because you didn’t brush her."
Brianna said: "Yes she was matted a bit but excuse me we did brush hair twice a day we had to take her to a different groomer than are regular."

The NeverEnding Story tells the story of a bullied schoolboy who escapes into a fantasy world.
The influential film was released in 1984 and directed by the late Wolfgang Petersen.
TikTok user Madison recently told The Sun that her dog resembled Yoda after a grooming session at home.
Madison began the video by explaining how her dog's "grooming appointment was cancelled weeks ago".
And the TikTok star took to buying acorded home grooming pet clipper to fix the situation herself.
The video then pans to tufts of white fur on the floor after Madison "took matters into her own hands".
Her dog, named Annabelle, can be seen with far shorter fur – and with large ears resembling the popular Mandalorian character from Disney+.
After revealing her newly groomed pup, Madison adds: "I'm so sorry Annabelle".
Kerrie Brown told The Sun how her pet died after becoming “overheated” at a grooming salon.
Kerrie had only dropped off three-year-old chow chow Bonnie for a wash and trim.
But she was phoned by staff two hours later to say the dog was “being sick”.
Bonnie then collapsed and was rushed to the vets, who had no choice but to put her down.
Another pet owner claimed her dog resembled Shaun the Sheep after a grooming session.
The woman could hardly believe her eyes when she picked up her furry friend looking more like a farm animal than a puppy.
She shared a video on social media of her beloved dog before and after its disastrous haircut to show the difference.
