WANT to make your home look more expensive but you are on a budget?

A woman has revealed her £10 window hack which changed the look of her entire room – and the best part is that renters can do it too.

TikTok user @everythingeryn revealed how she picked up cheap wood priced at $1 (90p), and then painted it black before adding it in a grid shape to her windows.

The finished result instantly transformed her room to look more stylish and sleek.

She explained: “So I’m obsessed with this renter friendly window hack.

“I’ve been seeing the dollar window tape DIY all over TikTok and I wanted to give it another try, but with a twist.

“I ended up going to Home Depot and some dollar wood to create the grid instead of the tape.

“Altogether it was $12 (£10.70) per window, super easy to do and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results.

“I am obsessed.”

She explained how you need to first measure your windows for their dimensions, and then find cheap one inch wood strips that can cover the window in a grid.

You should first line the window border with black tape and ensure it is renter-friendly and can peel off.

Then you need to cut the wood to your window dimensions and glue or staple it together to make a grid.

She added: “Make sure they are the same distance wise.

“Place the gorilla tape at the top and bottom of the grid.

“Stick it on the taped borders and you’re done.”
