A FASHION lover has revealed the extra clothing item she needed to make a Skims dress look good.

Kelsey, a TikToker who goes by the username thekelseym, advised her followers this week on what she put on underneath her new Skims dress.


The 23-year-old fashionista took to TikTok to share a one-minute and 18-second video of herself showing how a bodysuit was a perfect addition to her new dress.

Kelsey's video clip starts with her holding a nude-colored dress and saying: "So I thought I would do a try-on of my other Skims dress."

The footage then skips to her wearing a sculpting bodysuit from Skims, a shapewear and clothing brand co-founded by Jens Grede and Kim Kardashian.

She explains: "I'm wearing the bodysuit. So, I thought I would try it on just because I'm curious. Like, with the body suit versus without the body suit."

Kelsey then shows herself wearing the dress with the bodysuit underneath as she admits it's "very smoothing" and "keeps everything in place."

"I think it looks really good with the body suit underneath it," she said.

Wearing the bodysuit underneath is ideal for anyone who may have cellulite or any skin imperfections, Kelsey explains.

She then shows herself wearing the Skims dress without the body suit, noting that "it still doesn't look bad."

"But I'm kind of bloated and it doesn't hold the same as with the body suit underneath," Kelsey tells her fans.

"You kind of see all the nooks and crannies but I still think it's a nice dress.

"But I would definitely get the black one though if you don't have one yet."

According to Kelsey, the black Skims dress wouldn't show as much detail on the body as the tan/nude color she tried on.

Although Kelsey noticed a difference with the bodysuit on under the dress, one of her followers didn't notice any difference.

"I didn’t even know when you took it off! You look the same without it and with it both look great," a TikTok user commented.

Another said: "You look great with or without it."

"I actually love it without the body suit underneath!" a third user wrote.

"Your bloating is barely noticeable and everything still looks really smooth and natural!"

Meanwhile, TikTok user Alexis, who runs the lexssentials account, reviewed a SKIMS bodysuit which she said "eliminated every need for a bra."

Alexis modeled a large-extra large SKIMS Sculpting Bodysuit with Snaps, available for $62, and concluded: "The top is also so comfortable. My life is changed."
