FOR years, Yaa Animwaah Kay used to hate her smile and the gap between her two gnashers.
But before discovering aligners, the young woman, from London, came up with a rather creative solution, one that was less costly than seeing a dentist.
According to Yaa, who exposed her genius beauty trick on TikTok, she would use a piece of white gym, which she'd stick at the back of her two front teeth.
''So first, I'd buy a gum,'' she said, adding it had to be almost the same shade as her natural gnashers.
''Then chew for like 5 seconds and use my tongue to stick it behind my teeth.''
The little trick, she said in a tutorial, would be enough to ''blend in with your teeth after''.

But whilst this might've been a crafty solution to hide the gap, things didn't always go to plan, and Yaa knows that oh, too well.
Dancing with a group of friends and having a good time, the young woman showed what would happen on some occassions.
Whilst singing along to some hits, Yaa was filming herself at a party when suddenly, her DIY veneer would pop out, leaving her mortified.
She looked at the camera, realised the fake tooth was gone and immediately stopped recording.

Since the unfortunate event two years ago, Yaa has had the gap closed, which she achieved by using aligners.
But despite loving the new smile, Yaa admitted she missed the gap.
With more than a whopping 2.2million views, the clip has gone viral on social media, leaving people in hysterics.
