A WOMAN has proven that you haven't got to fork out a small fortune if you're looking to renovate your kitchen.
After being quoted a whopping £11k by a professional, the DIY whizz instead decided to transform the space inside her home herself – using a £23 bargain buy from The Range.
In a clip shared to TikTok (@_therichhome), she shows off the kitchen when they moved in and says: "We absolutely loved it, but wasn't really sold on the colour of the doors.
"So, we decided to head to Wren to get a quote for a new kitchen and this is what they quoted us [£10, 098] – safe to say we didn't have that in our budget.
"So we decided what could we do? And we thought, we're just going to paint our cupboards and was recommended Rust-Oleum kitchen cupboard paint."
She explained how she lightly sanded everything and then cleaned the cupboards with sugar soap.

The DIY whizz then used three tins of paint in shade 'Hessian' to add two coats to everything, including the insides of all doors.
Rust-Oleum paint can be bought from the likes of The Range. Amazon or B&Q for as little as £23 per tin.

And the DIY guru blew people away with the very impressive makeover, with the wooden doors given a modern update thanks to a lick of paint.
"Just look at that transformation – it's epic," she enthuses.

Alongside the video, she penned: "DIY kitchen project… quoted £11k for this so we did it ourselves!
"Knew we didn't have £11k to exchange the cupboards over to the colour I wanted so the option was to DIY the kitchen and give it a glow up on a budget!
"Found the @Rust-Oleum cupboard paint and chose the closest one to the colour we wanted and it was perfect!"
She added: "Am so happy with the result."
The video has since gone viral, racking up several comments from very impressed social media users, with many quick to commend the homeowner on her amazing DIY skills.
"Absolutely love the colour," praised one.
