I work in a nursery – parents always want to know how their kid’s day was, the truth is most of the time I have no idea

A NURSERY worker has gone viral after revealing what teaching kids in childcare is really like.

Those who work in a nursery or look after children know how difficult and long the day can sometimes get – and one woman can vouch for that.

Mikayla Adams, from Perth, Australia, regularly takes it to TikTok to share what it's like being employed in the industry.

From early mornings to snotty hands giving you a hug, there certainly is a list of things to consider when choosing this career.

Although the 22-year-old's videos have been liked by thousands, one such clip has taken the internet by storm, racking up close to 130,000 views.

In the video captioned ''Just childcare things'', the Aussie revealed that she doesn't know what to tell parents when they ask how their kid has been throughout the day.

After not being with their child all day long, this is something almost all mums and dads want to find out upon collecting the kid.

But more often than not, Mikayla said, she will not be able to give an answer.

She went on to explain that this is because the group has been packed with 30 other children – and on top of that, there is also a new kid.

To make matters only worse, not only are the what feels like a thousand kids, but the children:teacher ratio is off, as the nursery is short-staffed.
