BY the time most people think to clean the inside of their microwave, a bit of gunk has usually already built up.
But one cleaning pro promises there's an easy way to get your microwave squeaky-clean without tough scrubbing.
Carolina McCauley, a Brazilian blogger who lives in Perth, Australia, shared her trick on TikTok.
The mother-of-two said she mixes up a simple three-ingredient solution that helps to break down built-up gunk.
She combines two cups of water, one tablespoon of dish soap, and one cup of lemon juice in a big bowl.
She then puts the bowl in the microwave and heats it up for five minutes.
When the soapy solution gets hot, the steam will rise up and fill the microwave, which will "loosen up all the gunk."
After the five minutes are up, take the bowl out and use a wet sponge to wipe down the inside.
Any stuck-on food should wipe off without scrubbing.
"It's so easy," Carolina said.

Other experts have suggested using a similar mixture of water and white vinegar to clean your microwave.
Nuking half a lemon can also do the trick.
Cleaning pro Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, told fans they can cut a lemon in two and place one half face-down on a microwave-friendly plate.
Pour a few teaspoons of water over the top and turn the microwave on, watching it until it starts to produce steam.

That, too, should loosen up any grime on the inside of your microwave to be easily wiped off with a sponge or rag.
