Thankfully, homeowners online are sharing their savvy and surprising tips which we might not otherwise know.

And one DIY fan shared just the trick to help save a fortune on your energy bills.

The homeowner who goes by the name of The Cosy Club on TikTok has shared a tip which has since gone viral with over 17k people liking it.

They captioned the video: “Stop drafts from ruining your winter! Energy prices are crazy, but we will keep you cosy.” 

The video first starts off by showing a PVC window, and they point towards a gap between each window.

They then claim that using a window draft blocker on the edges of your window is key. 

These can be ordered from sites like Amazon and they cost around £8. 

The TikToker added: “So much heat escapes through drafts in the windows.”

“They are cheap and easy to buy.”
