STAFF at a hairdressing salon have revealed the five things clients should do to make their job's easier – and they hate it if you're early.

Blush Hair are extensions and blonde specialists based in Lanarkshire.

In a recent video on TikTok, the hair experts gave customers some top tips to help their stylist.

"Things you can do to make things easier for your hairdresser", they said.

First up, they urged clients to let hairdressers know in advance if they are planning a big change to their locks so they can allocate enough time.

Their next plea addresses the myth of hairdressers liking their customers to arrive with greasy hair.

They said: "Wash your hair the day before or morning of your appointment.

"We honestly don’t want to work with dirty hair.

"It’s a myth the colour takes better when dirty."

Moving on, they added: "Arrive to your appointment bang on time.

"If you are too early and we are running a few minutes late it can feel like you’re waiting forever."

"And have lots of inso pics. It’s a great way to know you are on the same page as each other when you have something visual to show."

And revealing their parting advice, they added: "Book at least two appointments in advance so we don’t feel bad for turning you away when you are looking for a last-minute appointment."

In other hair news, a glam woman with red and blue hair has revealed she only washes it once a month.

Tink claims that her unusual haircare routine helps the colour last longer.

Questioned about the length of time she goes between washes, she said: "It's healthy, grows quicker, keeps color longer, [and] because I can."

Some experts insist that washing your hair less often is indeed good for it.

They say it allows the scalp to produce an appropriate amount of oil naturally.
