But one mum has insisted that her unique hack to keep her mountain of laundry under control actually works.

Leralynn took to TikTok to share the clever method, showing herself placing the larger items from her washer on top of each other on the side.

She sorted through the washing inside the machine and put the larger pieces on top of each other until there was a pile.

Once ready, she lifted the pile and flipped it over her shoulder.

She then took it outside, and quickly threw each item of clothing over one of her washing lines.

After it was all hung up, she went back over it and affixed a peg to each garment to ensure it didn't blow away.

"My laundry life hack that I started doing randomly one day and it is the best!" Leralynn wrote over the video.

She further explained in the caption, writing: "My laundry hack which I explain to people and they think I'm crazy!

"But it ACTUALLY works!

In addition to saving her time, the hack also saves Leralynn's back, as she added: "This saves me time and bending down!"
