WHEN it comes to providing for children some parents want to give their child everything they possibly can.
But one parent has decided it is better to give her children less.
Dani is a mum of two and she has decided her children will have very few toys to play with.
Dani argues this is better for her children's development.
In a TikTok video online she said: “Did you know too many toys can be bad for kids?”
Dani said: “Studies show kids who have too many toys are more easily distracted and don’t enjoy as much quality play time.”

She continued: “Toddlers will have longer periods of play and are far more creative when they have fewer toys.”
Dani said: “I have been obsessed with these Lovevery play kits because I know I’m giving my child the exact few toys he needs for each stage to support his brain development.”
Dani confessed she wasn’t a fan of bright toys as they didn’t fit the style of her living room.
She said: “Plus they aren’t bright and flashy so they match the aesthetic of my living room”

Dani said the quality of the toys is more important than how many and the less you have the easier it is to clean up after your children.
She said: “Quality over quantity. Also easier to clean up when there’s not a million toys everywhere lol.”

Dani’s video gained over 180,000 views but viewers debated whether or not the mums advice was true or not.
One user said: “No wonder I’m so creative I played with boxes and trees and ribbons.”
Another said: “I have to take care of my little sister and I can’t buy her a lot of toys so this made me feel a lot better.”
A third viewer said: “I agree mine never have over 100 toys that got replaced all the time and the toys just clutter the floor.”
Some users disagreed saying that a stingy approach wasn’t the only way to spark creativity.
One user said: “I was given a lot of toys as a kid but that still sparked creativity in me.”
