A WOMAN has revealed the common misconceptions that people make after learning that she’s a professional cleaner.
Tera Nelli (@Tera.Nelli) boasts over 400,000 TikTok followers with frequent videos showing how she deep cleans houses.
She filmed herself vacuuming a client’s living room as part of a video revealing the things she has started to hate about her job.
“Being told I’m too pretty to clean,” reads the text over the video.
“Rich people telling me I charge too much.
“Being looked down on.
“Being told it’s not a real job,” the glamorous cleaner continued.
“Not having enough time for lunch breaks.
“The price of cleaning supplies. Fighting the clock.
“Being told you don’t have to be smart to clean.”

The video has racked up over 520,000 views. Fellow professional cleaners admitted they’ve heard similar comments from their clients.
One wrote: “My client told me she was looking for help at her business and asked if I wanted a real job!”
Another said: “Been a residential cleaner for seven years… all of this and more are said to me on the daily. It’s very frustrating.”
A third added: “The more money, the ruder and nastier they are.
“I’m a server but I used to clean condos and cabins. It’s the same at both jobs.”
Others reassured Tera that her job is valuable and told her to ignore negative comments.
“You don’t have to be smart to clean?!?!?!
"Are people aware you deal with chemicals and need to know what to use on each surface, what not to mix…,” one wrote.
