IN this age of technology at our fingertips, there's no longer a need to leave luggage tracking entirely in the hands of airlines.
One frequent traveler has shared his easy trick that'll make sure you always know exactly where your suitcase is, even when you check it.
A TikToker who goes by Damn Marino shared his bag-tracking hack in a viral video.
He advised viewers to buy an Apple AirTag – or several – and hide them inside their luggage.
"These guys, Apple tags. I want you to get them and I want you to label them and put them in all your stuff," he said.
"Hide them in the bottom, bottom of your bag. Also hide them in other bags within bags," he went on.

One Apple AirTag costs $29 directly from the brand or $27.50 from Amazon, but a pack of four can be purchased on Amazon for $98.
He demonstrates adding several AirTags to different bags, which would certainly rack up a bigger bill – but he also points out that this can help guard your bag against not just an airline mistake but theft.
"The point is to put them deep in your luggage," he said.
This way, a thief will be less likely to find it – and if you have a second one in a bag within the bag, they may not think to look for it at all.

"I like multiple per item," he explained in a comment. "Sometimes they think they found just the one, and you catch them with the second."
Then you can track each of your AirTags on your phone.
"Much like the Find My Phone feature, you can find your items now," he went on, showing the tracking app on his phone.
"It's great especially when you check baggage, you can follow it all the way to your destination," he said.
Damn Marino's tip has earned plenty of fans, with about half a million views and appreciative comments – plus a few from viewers who already use the clever hack.
