A FORMER flight attendant has revealed the one item of clothing you should avoid wearing to the airport.
Jordan Rozario started his career at the check-in counter at an airport before being bumped up to senior cabin crew.
Now, he’s the Human Resources Manager for the UK, Ireland & Iceland at Lufthansa Group – so it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about travel.
Speaking to Condé Nast Traveller about his top tips on flying abroad, he explained that there’s one item of clothing that you’re better off packing in the suitcase over wearing to an airport.
While he admitted that it’s nice to see people make an effort to dress for the day they actually jump on a flight, it’s not always the most pragmatic choice to make.
“When I travel it’s still lovely to see people getting dressed up for the occasion, but elaborate outfits can often mean delays at security – think strappy boots that take ages to undo,” he told the publication.

Jordan, who has been in the aviation industry for 17 years, explained that it takes time to take the boots off, which stressed everyone out.
You may get stressed over holding up the line of people behind you while those waiting their turn may get annoyed over the delay, too.
And if you take too long then you or others behind you could even miss their flight.
Instead, Jordan thinks it’s best to wear slip-on shoes with comfortable layers.

He said: “That way, it’s not only easy to take on and off to make going through security quick and easy, but also to be comfortable depending on the temperature in the terminal, onboard, and at the other end.”
Strappy boots are not the only annoyance that can slow people down at airport security though as trainers have a similar issue.
Founder of Sole Bliss, Lisa Kay, explained: “I’m going to be controversial and say that traditional trainers are NOT the perfect footwear for the airport – and there’s a couple of reasons as to why.”
Lisa said that while they’re comfortable, they can be a “hindrance” when going through airport security.
"Taking them on and off means un-tying the laces and then re-tying them back up again, which can make you feel a bit rushed and flustered as you gather your things,” she added.
She went on to share those who wear wedge heels will always have to take them off as it’s seen as a “suspicious area to conceal items”.
If you really want some height, she said to go for "kitten heels with sling-backs," explaining "you can easily pull them on and off when going through security".
Meanwhile, one fashion expert has shared the airport outfits that scream tacky.
And another fashion-obsessed woman has confessed she goes all out with the outfits she wears when getting on a plant – but savage trolls take the mick out of her layering method.
