Kate Middleton gave us a lesson in fall fashion today, as she stepped out in a chic forest green suit.

The Princess of Wales paired the on-trend ensemble from Burberry with a white blouse and block heels.

Her newly highlighted locks were the finishing touch to her autumnal look, along with chic gold jewellery.

Kate is in Leeds this afternoon, visiting the AW Hainsworth textile mill. The trip will be of particular interest to the 41-year-old today, as her ancestors actually owned the mill, then known as Lupton & Co, before selling it in 1958.

The mother-of-three has actually donned the green suit before, wearing it for a meeting with Norwegian royalty at Windsor Castle in March earlier this year, where the couples met to discuss environmental projects.

While the green version of the Burberry suit no longer appears to be available online, a camel blazer is still available, for £1390.

The Princess of Wales has recycled outfits throughout the year and Prince William has (somewhat controversially) cut down on oversees trips, in a bid to give their image a sustainable makeover.

The green suit is the latest in a long line of colourful two pieces worn by the royal – although Burberry is a departure from her preference for Alexander McQueen of late.

She wore a McQueen number in white for an outing at the Rugby World Cup earlier this month, and a navy version for a prison visit.

She’s also got a McQueen suit in pink, and she wore a red suit by the brand with an asymmetrical blazer for the star-studded Coronation concert in May.
