Mrs Hinch fans go crazy over a 33p hack to remove oil stains from clothes – and it's already sitting in your kitchen | The Sun

THERE'S nothing more frustrating that finding your favourite top covered in stubborn oil stains that won't come out no matter what.

If not treated properly, a fresh grease stain could become permanent and impossible to remove – but fortunately, fans of Mrs Hinch have shared their top remedies, including a 33p cleaning hack.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 32, has long been a favourite amongst fellow cleaning enthusiasts, with close to 4.5 million followers on Instagram.

The star rose to fame a few years ago with various home hacks and now her fans have even started dedicated cleaning pages on social media.

In one such group, Mrs Hinch Cleaning tips and tricks on Facebook, a member sought advice: “Hi, I went to put a clean white t-shirt on and noticed two grease stains.

“Any idea how to get these out? Is my top salvageable? Thanks in advance.”

Luckily, fellow fans were quick to offer help, with most suggesting using washing up liquid either by itself or with bicarbonate of soda.

Samantha Russell replied: “Rub neat washing up liquid then sprinkle bicarbonate of soda in too. Leave for an hour then wash as normal.”

Susan Findlay said: “Rub neat washing up liquid into it making sure it penetrates right through. Leave for a while and wash as usual.”

Storm Townsend agreed, adding: “If you're talking food grease/oil I dampen area and put straight dishwashing liquid on it.

Most households have a bottle of washing up liquid by the sink and bicarbonate of soda on the shelves, however, those that don’t can purchase these relatively cheaply from local supermarkets or online.

Alternatively, you can also buy 450ml of Sainsbury's Washing Up Liquid Cherry, Limited Edition for 45p.
