A MUM has been slammed for transforming her tot's bright red Cozy Coupe car in a bid to make it look more chic.
Jessica Litman, who is also known as The Organised Mama, shared the DIY project on Instagram.
The mum started off by taking apart the classic yellow and red car and using three different shades of beige spray paint on them.
"Spray paint AFTER putting the car together. This will avoid the paint chipping when you are trying to connect the parts," she advised afterwards.
She added: "Don’t bother removing the Little Tikes logos – just spray over them! Except for the front one if you plan on adding the VW emblem."
Once the it was reassembled Jessica added the Volkswagen logo to the front of the car and each wheel.

She even added a posh silver trim around the outside to give it even more of a chic look.
And for a finishing touch, she customised the number plate on the back.
Despite being happy with the finished car, other parents slammed Jessica for changing it in the first place, with many agreeing it's way too beige and boring for a kid.
One said: "You ruined something playful to fit an aesthetic. Its not even for you its for a little kid."

A second agreed: "How are you gonna take the most iconic kids toy and do that?"
And a third commented: "Kids toys shouldn’t be about your aesthetic."
Not everyone hated the re-vamp though, and others praised the mum for making the effort to customise it.
"This comment section is proof that a mom can do literally anything and still be criticised," one said.
"I love this. Isn’t an eye sore in the home and doesn’t over stimulate the child with a bunch of bright colours. Looks chic, well done momma," another wrote.
"If a dad did this everyone would love it. There's nothing wrong with it," someone else slammed.
