Princess Eugenie stepped out in Paris on Wednesday and was photographed at the Hauser & Wirth Booth, the international gallery at which she is a Director, during the press preview for the Paris + Par Art Basel. This took place at the iconic Grand Palais Ephemere.
Eugenie looked gorgeous in a chic checked look. The royal sported a tweed crop top by Rinaland, which she layered over a black chiffon dress in a pinafore style.
Tweed is a timeless trend and a wardrobe must-have for the autumn fashion season, which Eugenie perfectly exemplified.
Unfortunately, the Princess’ exact ensemble is not available to buy anymore as it is no longer in stock, so it is unclear how much the garment originally cost.
The tweed sleeveless cardigan, featuring ornate golden buttons, was paired over a tulle black dress.
The slinky fabric added a romantic touch to the look, and the sleeves were very sheer which contrasted nicely with the tweed sleeveless top.
The Princess then sported some black tights for an autumnal touch and to keep warm in the 19 Degrees Celsius weather in Paris last night.
Prince Andrew’s daughter elevated the outfit with some simple golden jewellery, which complemented the embellished buttons on the two-toned cardigan.
These included the gold hoops she wore to the Queen’s funeral which broke royal protocol according to a style expert.
Eugenie additionally wore three gold rings, one of which was her diamond engagement ring.
Claire Adler, the founder of Claire Adler Luxury PR, previously spoke to Express.co.uk about Eugenie’s ring and how it looks very similar to her mother’s, Sarah Ferguson.
She said: “Princess Eugenie’s eye-catching engagement ring features a Padparadscha Sapphire surrounded by diamonds on a simple gold band.
“Her ring follows the recent trend of more untraditional engagement rings with colourful gemstones.
“The ring features a flower-like shape known as a cluster ring and coloured stone similar to the engagement ring of Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson.
“Princess Eugenie’s now-husband Jack Brooksbank probably took inspiration from Sarah Ferguson’s ring.
“In fact, the colours of both rings have deeper meanings. Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank explained that he picked this ring because ‘it changes colour when it hits certain lights, much like Eugenie.’
“However, the rings are not exactly the same, and Princess Eugenie’s ring is a different design from her mother’s. Because of their similar design, both rings have also been compared to Kate Middleton’s ring which belonged to Princess Diana.”
The King’s niece swept her chestnut hair back, leaving a few face-framing strands out with a side-parting. This was a similar hairstyle to one normally worn by Meghan Markle.
She opted for a minimal make-up look, although she did wear quite defined black eyeliner which focused on accentuating her eyes and pale skin complexion.
Eugenie smiled as she posed for photos at the Hauser & Wirth Booth during the press preview for Paris + Par Art Basel at the Grand Palais Ephemere.
The fair will take place from October 20 to 23. Others pictured at the event included artists Marc Quinn, Yan Pei Ming and Jean-Marie Appriou.
