On Friday, September 10, Queen Letizia donned all black as she commemorated the life of the UK monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
King Filipe VI and Queen Letizia were pictured giving their condolences to the ambassador of the United Kingdom, Hugh Elliot.
The pair came to sign The Book Of Condolences at the UK Embassy.
Queen Letizia looked regal in a black mid-length dress, cinched in at the waist with a chunky belt.
The dress was fitted, and boasted three quarter length sleeves and some feather detailing around the neck.

This detailing extended down the arms and gave the dress a more wintery feel.
Letizia paired her chosen black dress with some black, pointed-toe pumps.
She also carried a small black handbag complete with a gold clasp.
In keeping with the occasion, the Spanish monarch went almost totally without accessories.
She opted for what appears to be a pair of three strand hoop earrings, in gold.
She did not appear to be wearing any statement accessories, for example a necklace or bracelet.
However, she did wear a ring that has almost become synonymous with the Spanish monarch – the Signature Ring by Karen Hallem.
She arguably wears this piece of jewellery even more than her own wedding ring.
The Signature Ring is available online and some varieties are even affordable for everyday jewellery lovers.
Prices range between €110.00 – €1,100.00 (£94 – £948) depending on the material it is made from.
A silver ring will set Letizia fans back £94, a gold-plated silver ring, £116, and a solid gold ring £905 or £948 depending on size.
The official website describes the ring as follows: “The perfect gift for her. Handmade jewellery. Everyday jewellery.”
As for makeup, Letizia went for an expected minimal look, appearing to just wear a touch of bronzer on her face.
She also opted for a nude, barely-there lip colour and a smokey eye.
Queen Letizia usually wears her hair down in loose curls or waves, however in her most recent appearance she opted for a much more understated look.
She scraped back her hair into a classic, no parting ponytail, tied with a simple black scrunchie.
