Yesterday evening, the annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood returned adapting to the current virtual wave of award shows. Due to COVID-19 virtual presentations have taken over award’s season with limited red carpet guest and living-room celebrations however, this hasn’t stopped the fashion from arriving.
On the carpet yesterday, a few of our favorite celebrities arrived in chic cocktail attire making the step-and-repeat worthwhile. Leslie Jones and Laverne Cox went with bright colors and patterns to set the tone for spring while Storm Reid and Andra Day opted for a bronze finish. Of course, many are raving about Zendaya’s moment, the star wore a YSL Haute Couture gown from 1982, her stylist Law Roach wrote on Instagram that it was previously owned by Eunice Johnson.
