Savvy shopper revamps garden on a budget with B&M bargains and cheap finds from eBay

BRING on summer and months on end of sitting in the garden, topping up the tan and indulging in endless al fresco dinners and drinks.

With the weather set to heat up, people are taking it upon themselves to give their gardens a major glow up, including this savvy shopper who totally transformed her outdoor space and all on a budget.

Wanting to revamp her tired-looking garden and give it a stylish DIY facelift, the woman pulled together bargain buys from B&M and eBay to create a dreamy decking area for her to kick back in.

Sharing before and after shots via Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she revealed that the transformation cost her £170 in total.

She spruced up her wooden decking by painting it a slate grey using £40 Cuprinol decking paint from Amazon and then snapped up two rugs – a patterned rug from B&M (£10) and a round rug from Olive and Sage (£14) – for each seating space.

She added some colour to her old corner sofa and swing seatwith cushions from B&M (£14) and Home Bargains (£16) and created a pretty ivy wall using a roll from eBay for £15 and old foam roses she had to spare.

The DIY fan gave herself a budget of £50 to buy new plants to decorate the decking and was thrilled with the purse-friendly finished look, as she gushed: "Feels like a new garden."

Captioning her before and after photos, she wrote: "I wanted to revamp my garden but I was on a budget. Decking paint £40 amazon Rugs b&m £10 and olive and sage (round one £14). Cushions b&m £14 home bargains £8 x2.

"New swing cover £11 eBay Rose ivy wall I made from a roll of ivy £15 ebay roses I had and glue gun I had. Most plants I already had but I allotted £50 for new plants. We already had the swing seat and furniture set and umbrella."

Hundreds of fellow shoppers were left impressed with her garden revamp, with one person commenting: "Painting the deck makes it look so different. Love it."

Another posted: "That's good work, your garden is awesome."

A third wrote: "I'd enjoy a cuppa and a chat there," while one more person suggested that the new garden looks way more expensive that it actually was.

They said: "It looks amazing and the cushions just finish it off so well, really well done £170 !! and it looks like £3k worth."
