But one savvy woman has shared a genius way she gave her space an instant glow up for just £2 – using a bargain buy from none other than Primark.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@elizabethmarleymakeup), the makeup pro, who usually posts beauty-related topics on social media, took a break from her speciality subject to share her excitement over the product.

Holding up the 'indoor strip lights' from the high-street store, she says: "OK, so these are not makeup but I need to show you…

"So when I was in Primark I was in the home section and found these indoor strip lights.

"Now, they were only £2 and I got two boxes and I wasn't expecting much, I'm going to be honest.

"They come rolled up in a little flat tape and you just peel off the back and then you just kind of just stick them along the top of where you want them to be."

Elizabeth then shows how she applied them and continues: "I've just stuck mine to a shelving unit."
