WE'RE all looking for ways to save both time and money when it comes to drying our clothes.

And particularly in the current climate – keeping bills down is more important than ever.


So one woman has been praised after sharing a hack to dry your clothes quicker, and it's completely free.

Nazia took to TikTok to share her trick, showing a video of clothes hung over her radiator as she wrote: "When drying clothes indoors, keep clothes in bedrooms which face the direction of the sun."

It's also important to "open windows to remove moisture".

People have been taking to social media in their hundreds to share their own money-saving laundry hacks.

Geo's one involves drying clothes on an airer, but using a desktop fan aimed at the clothes to get them dry faster.

"By circulating the air you reduce the humidity around your clothes which dries your clothes even faster," he explained in a video on his TikTok page.

As for those who criticised him for using a fan despite the cost of living crisis, he added: "I’ve got a smart meter and can confirm the fan uses less than 2p per hour.

"A drier is around 17p."
