A WOMAN has majorly split opinion after revealing that she ditched a date after they clashed over a £2.50 item on their bill.
Singleton Dafna Diament recalled her dating story immediately after she left him sitting alone in the restaurant where they’d agreed to meet.
Dafna, who shared the story on her TikTok profile @dafna_diamant, explained that she’d met her love interest after matching on app Hinge.
However, their romance was short lived when she couldn’t believe that he’d kicked up a fuss over paying £2.50 for something on the menu.
As she walked through the streets of New York, Dafna said: “Guys, I just got back from my Hinge date. Why am I doing this to myself?
“So we schedule to go to dinner, we are sitting at the restaurant.

“Then the waitress comes over, she wants to take our order.”
Dafna placed her order and then turned to her date, as he perused the menu.
She continued: “He said, ‘I’m going to take the burger.’ The waitress asked him, ‘How do you like your burger?’

“He asked, ‘Is this going to be extra?’ And she says, ‘Yes, it’s $3 extra.’”
“And he said, ‘OK, then never mind.’ And I’m like, ‘What the actual f**k?
However, after the menu mix-up, she decided to put it to one side and stick around for the rest of the date.
She continued to her 4000 plus followers: “I’m like OK, I’m hungry I’m gonna get my branzino and see what happens.”
But once the waitress had left their table and they were alone again, her date brought it back up in conversation.
She continued to recall: “He’s like, ‘Oh my God, you have to pay extra for everything these days’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah. It’s New York City.’
“So I got my branzino, he got his burger and we were eating. Once I was satisfied, I got up and said, ‘I’m going to the restroom for a second’.
“I took my purse and I went to the waitress and said, ‘Hey, I just want to pay the bill and I just paid the bill and walked out of the restaurant.”

Dafna went on to say that she’d spent $55 on the bill and then proceeded to message the man who had unknowingly been dumped.
She concluded: “I texted him to say that the bill is taken care of – you should have got the cheese. And then I blocked him.”
However, not everyone agreed with Dafna’s decision and many slammed her for overreacting to the minor disagreement.
One person wrote: “I don’t see what the big deal is for not wanting to pay extra for cheese. That doesn’t mean he’s cheap, she just has a terrible way of handling it.”
A second said: “The problem is people are too quick to judge someone off one comment.
“You didn’t even give him a chance based on a piece of cheese.”
While others said they agreed with her date and wouldn’t have wanted to have spent that much money on the extra topping.
