Amazon shoppers rush to buy 'gorgeous' pair of Alexa speakers scanning for £35 instead of £90

AMAZON is currently running a red-hot deal on its newest smart speaker – you can buy one and get another for free.

Customers are all dashing to pick up a pair of Echo Pop devices for just £34.95 – that's £55 cheaper than purchased separately.

Amazon now joins the ranks of John Lewis, Boots, Argos and AO in a pleasant wave of early Black Friday bargains allowing you to pick up a few bits and bobs as an early treat or get through that Christmas shopping list with plenty of time for the big day.

The retailer's device sale hasn't officially launched, but we spotted this excellent buy-one-get-one-free deal and a handful of other offers.

The standard price of a singular Echo Pop has been reduced to £34.98, but if you enter the code ECHOPOP at the checkout, you'll get another one for free.

It's not the first time Amazon has offered up their popular speaker for less recently: just last month we spotted shoppers going crazy for the quality speaker when it was reduced by 60% in the Prime Day sale.

Buying a pair of them actually makes good sense: Amazon's Echo speakers make for incredibly cheap stereo.

But the neat thing about these is you can set them up in different rooms, like the kitchen and living room, so that you can still say 'hey Alexa' and control settings in your home or just receive news reports even when you change rooms.

The Echo Pop, which was released earlier this year, is more compact than its Echo Dot counterpart but still comes with all the Alexa features we've come to know and love, making it great for bedroom or smaller spaces.

Simply say 'Hey Alexa' and you can set timers, check the weather, read the news, re-order your favourite products on Amazon (obviously) and make calls, without so much as touching a button.

Customers who have added the voice-activated speaker to their home are clearly impressed as it maintains a superb 4.6-star rating on Amazon.

One reviewer states the 'lilac colour is gorgeous' and praises the device's speaker stating 'the sound is perfect for my home office'.

Another loved that it was 'great value' and provided 'great sound'.

Black Friday is still a little while away, so the deals we're seeing now are just a taste of what we expect to come.

We're pretty confident there'll be lots more Amazon device deals on the way, but if you're on the hunt for a cheap smart speaker and would benefit from a pair, now seems a good time to buy.
