When it comes to signature designs, there are certain things luxury brands become known for. Chanel is known for its double C logo and Dior is known for its toile fabric, whilst for Bottega Veneta, the brand has become synonymous with woven leather details.

Spotted on everything from shoes to handbags, the luxury brand has added its woven texture to just about every accessory it makes, including the Jodie mini Intrecciato-leather clutch bag, £1970 here, which is immediately recognisable by its thatched fabric and knotted handle.

However, at nearly £2k the bag is most definitely out of reach for most of us no matter how much we’ve been coveting it, so we’ve been searching high and low to find a dupe that gives us all the same vibes without the designer price tag.

Luckily, we’ve spotted a much more affordable alternative thanks to Anthropologie, and we can’t wait to snap it up.

The Melie Bianco Larissa Woven Faux-Leather Satchel Bag, £78 here, is made from faux leather which has been laced together to create a very familiar woven texture, and comes in four different colours; taupe, red, black and grey, most of which are mirrored in the shades available at Bottega Veneta.

Just like the luxe version, the Anthropologie bag had a slouchy design and knotted top handle, making it the perfect easy-to-carry clutch, and features a zip fastening to help keep your belongings safe.

Although you’ll be saving yourself almost £1900, the affordable version is slightly smaller, measuring 23cm high, 20cm long and 6cm wide, whilst the Bottega Veneta one comes in at the roomier 28cm high, 23cm long and 8cm wide – although we suspect that saving yourself almost £2k is worth losing a couple of cm of space, not to mention, it's still spacious enough to fit in everything you need while you're out and about.

The luxury one is also made from real lambskin leather, which typically has more durability than faux or vegan leather, however it also requires more upkeep and treating, whereas the Anthropologie bag just needs a simple wipe clean to keep it looking as good as new.
