Millions of women are looking for quick and effective ways to look younger. Charlotte, Vøhtz, an organic beauty expert and founder of Green People recommends eye and face yoga exercises instead of non-invasive treatments like botox and filler.
Charlotte said: “Eye yoga is generating a lot of interest and is the eye-lifting exercise that requires no equipment and minimal training time.
“Everyone can do eye yoga at home and with regular practice, eye yoga could help to keep the delicate skin around your eyes looking firm and fresh.
“Facial exercises like face yoga are gentle, daily face movements designed to strengthen the muscles in the face and improve circulation.
“It is thought that working out these muscles could build their strength so that the skin on and around the eyes, lips, cheeks and forehead maintains a smoother, tighter, more youthful appearance.
The expert added: “The only downside of practising facial yoga is that some people notice that they start to break out when they first start facial exercises. This is because the skin produces more oil in order to become more supple.
“As your skin adapts to doing regular facial yoga workouts, you’ll find that your oil levels quickly balance out.”
For those that do experience breakouts or want to minimise the risk of spots, Charlotte recommends using a foaming face wash every day and then applying a skin-balancing purifying face mask weekly.
Easy yoga exercises for the eyes
Charlotte explained: “Place two fingers on each of your temples and gently press whilst opening and closing your eyes rapidly. Repeat this facial exercise five times.
“Sit upright with your eyes closed. Look up and then look down 10 times, keeping your eyes closed the entire time.
“To reduce crow’s feet and puffiness gently tap the pads of the fingers along the skin around the eye. Start at the inside corner, work towards the outer edge, and then back towards the nose. Repeat this movement 10 times.
“Another easy way to enhance the skin around the eyes is with facial massage and Gua Sha massage tools make it easy to reduce puffiness from tired eyes.
“Gua Sha is an ancient facial massage technique and is a cheap and effective home-facial technique. Once purchased, your Gua Sha tool should last you a lifetime and can be used every day to gently drain puffiness away through the lymphatic system,” she said.
Yoga exercises for the forehead
The expert revealed: “Frown and try to bring your eyebrows over your eyes, whilst also knitting the brows together.
“Release and then lift your eyebrows as high as possible, opening your eyes wide. Repeat this facial exercise five times.”
Face yoga for the cheeks
“Start with a relaxed smile and your lips closed. Suck in your cheeks towards your teeth and try to hold this position for 10 seconds before releasing. Repeat this facial exercise 10 times,” Charlotte recommended.
“Sit in front of a mirror and smile broadly, keeping your lips closed. Next, wrinkle your nose to move your cheek muscles upwards. Keep this position for five seconds and then relax your face. Repeat this movement 10 times.”

Yoga exercises for the neck and throat
“Tech neck is a term used to describe a sagging of the muscles in the neck caused by too much time spent staring at screens on mobiles and laptops,” Charlotte explained. “You can prevent tech neck by keeping the skin on your neck firm with our slow-release Vitamin C serum which combines Ascorbyl Glucoside with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and Bakuchi Oil.
“Facial yoga can also help to prevent tech neck and yoga for neck wrinkles can be done whilst you sit at your desk.
“Sit straight and look up at the ceiling. Close your mouth and make a chewing movement 20 times.
“Sit straight and look up at the ceiling. Close and relax your lips then pucker them and stretch them towards the ceiling. Keep the lips puckered for a count of 10 and then relax and bring your head back to a neutral position.
“Repeat this facial exercise five times.”
