Big Brother’s series 3 stars now from tragic death to two This Morning stars

Series three of Big Brother was a wild time for the reality show as we saw the first ever female winner, found our love for presenter Alison Hammond and had one of the most dramatic exits ever.

We were also introduced to one of the hunkiest housemates, Alex Sibley, met the late Jade Goody for the first time and had an actual marriage and child with Lee Davey and Sophie Pritchard who fell in love during the series.

Sandy Cumming who is now rarely seen provided one of the most dramatic Big Brother exits when he decided to climb the wall and left the show via a roof – we're not sure why he didn't just use the door either but it was a thrilling time.

Twenty years later we've looked into where the housemates are now from Radio One DJs to This Morning presenters and even to those we can't quite remember even being in the Big Brother house.

Adele Roberts

In her audition tape, Adele made a bold move and thought it was best to rap, saying she deserved a place – she became one of the original housemates.

She was popular with her fellow housemates but sadly not when it came to the public vote and was booted out with 6 per cent of the vote on day 43, coming in seventh place – not bad.

Adele is one of those rare success stories of Big Brother who is now a DJ on Radio 1's Early Breakfast Show.

In November 2019 she also became a campmate in I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

A few years later in 2021, the TV star shared the news that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 43 but beat the disease and announced in summer 2022 she was cancer free after months of gruelling treatment.

Alex Sibley

When Alex entered the house, it was clear to viewers (and us) he was the hunkiest housemate of that time.

Popular with the public (we have no idea why!) he left Big Brother in third place, securing 27 per cent of the vote.

Today he remains an enthusiastic Big Brother fan and not so long ago appeared on Big Brother's Bit on the Side.

Alison Hammond

By far one of our favourite ever housemates is Alison who had one of the biggest personalities in the Big Brother house.

Although her reputation was slightly damaged with Alex and Jonny when she admitted she had peed in the shower, she came in 11th place.

Just a year later in 2003, Alison began making regular appearances on This Morning which she has done ever since, going on to become comedy gold with her endless laughter and bubbly personality.

Jade Goody

One of the most memorial housemates will always be Jade Goody who was known for her constant references to her "kebab", her inability to hold her booze, and her relentless good humour.

Jade became a hugely popular TV personality after leaving the Big Brother house, later returning to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

Sadly, in 2009 Jade died in her sleep after a battle with cervical cancer as 22 March 2023 marks 14 years since her passing.

Kate Lawler

Kate became the first female to win Big Brother and is now a DJ on Virgin Radio in the afternoon slot. She also regularly appears on This Morning to host the competitions on the show.

In 2021 Kate gave birth to a baby girl named Noa, her first child with her fiancé and partner of seven years, Martin.

Lee Davey

This is one housemate we can't quite put our finger to, even though he spent 18 days on Big Brother.

Today Lee is looking buff as he spends a lot of time at the gym or watching football.

Lynne Moncrieff

The first person to be evicted from the Big Brother house in 2002 was Lynne, which is always a bit of a blow but it's got to be someone.

Despite the early exit Lynne now appears to have a business selling her own art.

Peter James "PJ" Ellis

Known as PJ his time in the house became controversial after his bedroom antics with Jade, which he later denied it happening despite us all seeing it on TV.

He is now a solicitor.

Sandy Cumming

Viewers took a liking to stylish Sandy but he decided the experience was not for him and left by climbing a wall on day 20 after urinating in a bin – 20 years later we still have questions.

However, it has remained one of the most dramatic Big Brother exits to date.

Today Sandy is thought to live a quieter life with hopefully no more great escapes.

Sophie Pritchard

Sophie was a late arrival and arrived in the house on day ten where she fell for Lee, although officially they didn't get together until they both left the Big Brother house.

The pair got married and had a son together.

Ten months after their son was born they split with Sophie now appearing to be staying out of the limelight.

Spencer Smith

Coming in ninth place is the only detail we can remember of Spencer Smith but he did make a second TV appearance in Celebrity Four Weddings in 2010.

Other than that Spencer is rarely heard of.

Sunita Sharma

Sunita was one of the original housemates but on day seven walked out saying Big Brother "was not her party".

After the exit, she returned to her old job and now works as a barrister.

Tim Culley

Tim will always be remembered for trying to secretly shave his chest hair after he entered the house as a replacement for Sandy.

He now appears to be living in South Africa with a job at a design company and still references Big Brother in his company bio.

Fans of Big Brother will be happy to know that the iconic TV show is set to return later this year. Originally airing on Channel 4, then Channel 5, the addictively good programme is now set to return on the new network ITV2/ITVX.
